Came here for an early dinner last week and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This place has had many names and multiple owners and I think Jorge's had been the best yet. I ordered the Birria tacos and my friend got the birria quesadillas with a prickly pear margarita each. The food was really good!! The margarita was delicious too but just a little too sweet for me; my friend really liked theirs. Ps: the birria tacos are not on the menu - you have to specifically ask for them. The service was very friendly and attentive and the ambiance was good too - I think they had just broken down a wall so it looked more spacious. Would I return? Yes! I thought it was great especially compared to the other Mexican place down the street.
Fantastic margaritas and Jorge is always a great host. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Zanesville hands down. Have travelled to Arizona and other cultures and this is authentic quality Mexican cuisine. My wife and I have found our new go to restaurant. Good food, and bad cost the same, come see Jorge and have an amazing experience. Looking forward to coming back!

Was visiting the area a few weekends ago and went here, I enjoyed this place a lot. Food was delicious and came out fast. The bartender though - give that man a raise!!! He was AMAZING. He would come over and make sure we were happy with our drinks, gave us recommendations based off what we like. He was great! The music at the restaurant is such a vibe.
Each week we visit and have meals and drinks. Jorge is the owner and is fantastic. If I'm not sure what I want he always has good suggestions. Sometimes I tell him what I am in the mood for and he makes the best meals! We have a group that meet and enjoy the staff and food. Good authentic Mexican food

We had a great experience here tonight. They've added Birria to the menu and if you haven't tried it, you need to. This was simply amazing! (I wish I could've had another couple. LOL) Great service and fair prices! My wife loved the Bahama Mama, too. Thank you!
We just moved here from SoCal & my husband & son were wanting "AUTHENTIC" Mexican tacos on New Years Eve. So we called Monterey's for a pick up & I'm glad we did because we got so much food for the money! Reminds me of Mexican food you get from Mexico! Thank you!
